SINCE 1952

Cerra’s Market has a proud history of providing top-quality meats and exceptional customer service. Joe Cerra opened Cerra’s Meat Market in Boston’s historic North End at 123 Salem Street in 1952. With a focus on premium meats and a dedication to personalized service, Joe, alongside his son Ron, expanded the business into the wholesale veal industry. Together, they owned and operated J & R Veal in New Market Square and Cerra’s Veal on Chatham Street in Lynn, establishing a strong reputation for quality and expertise.

In 1992, Ron returned to his retail roots by opening Lynnfield Meat & Deli, bringing the same commitment to quality and service to a new generation of customers. In 2017, Ron and his son Joe relocated the business to Saugus, rebranding as Cerra’s Market. Today, we continue to uphold the tradition of excellence that began over 70 years ago, offering the finest meats, prepared foods, and grocery items while providing the personalized service that has been a hallmark of our family business for generations.
