About Us

Joe Cerra founded Cerra’s Meat Market in the North End of Boston at 123 Salem Street in 1952. Specializing in top quality meats and personalized customer service he and his son Ron expanded into the wholesale veal business owning and operating J & R Veal in New Market Square and Cerra’s Veal on Chatham Street in Lynn.

In 1992 Ron returned to his retail routes with the opening of Lynnfield Meat & Deli. In 2017 Ron and his son Joe relocated to Saugus and re-established as Cerra’s Market still specializing in the same quality products and service that Cerra’s was originally founded upon.

Had to come on here and leave an awesome review. Just grabbed two panini boxes -- one turkey + swiss & one caprese + cutlet -- and it was the best takeout lunch we've had in some time! We've come to Cerra's for large tray orders before but not for individual sized stuff like this. Please know that ALL OF IT IS AWESOME. Be back soon.

FIVE STARS is easy rating for Cerra’s. Everything I have had there is delicious: pasta, sandwiches, soups etc. They did large orders for two summer parties and that all went smoothly. Buy-one get-one 50% off on Tuesdays, combined with their generous portions, makes for a great deal! Just had chic/broc ziti and hadn’t tried chic gemelli vodka until now - yum! And 2 soups my fam. enjoyed (I’ll reheat tomorrow). Even without the Tuesday special, a pasta dinner is a very reasonable 10 bucks — and that’s TWO meals for me (and I EAT, believe me). To top all of this off, they have a solid rewards program; reminds me that I need to get in and redeem some of those for free sandwiches etc. Cerra’s — please keep doing what you are doing!

The most creamy, delicious lasagne ever. We bought the large frozen meat lasagne which easily fed 4 with leftovers. Positively the best.

Everything we have ever ate from there was very good. They have the gigantic slices of pizza that are amazing. They have like a pre packaged meal deal that they do on Tuesdays I think. I can’t remember if it’s buy one get one or buy one get one half off - but you should definitely check them out any day or the week.
